About the Role
MD2 Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a children's residential care provider seeking a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager to lead a children's home in Waltham Cross. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager looking to take the next step into their first Registered Manager position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, positive outcomes for young people, regulatory compliance, and strong team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the children's residential home.
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted requirements.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team.
- Promote a positive, child-centred culture focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for young people.
- Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service.
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, families, and external professionals.
- Drive service improvement and work towards achieving a positive Ofsted rating.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a children's residential care setting.
- Experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Manager, or Registered Manager.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve).
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
