Job Description:

We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our Residential Service in Glanamman Apartments, Ammanford. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of a fantastic team working in our brand new Residential service.

Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker is responsible for helping to lead the staff team, advocating and providing person-centred care, and supporting staff to perform their duties effectively to deliver the best care for those we support.

The Role

You will need to be:

  • Committed to providing excellent care for vulnerable people with mental health issues, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.
  • Proficient in written and reading English with good numeracy skills.
  • Knowledgeable about equal opportunities and their impact on employees and service users.
  • Capable of working independently, including taking sole responsibility during a shift.
  • An effective communicator at all levels.

Senior Support Workers are required to work 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Ideally QCF Level 3 qualified. If not, you should be working towards it. Proven care experience is essential.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of care experience required.

  • Double pay for key festive bank holidays.
  • Early access to a portion of monthly earnings.
  • Refer a Friend Bonus Scheme.
  • Free DBS check.
  • Social Care Wales registration fee paid by M&D Care.
  • 30 days holiday including bank holidays.
  • Annual performance and attendance bonuses.
  • Full-time contracts from 37.5 to 45 hours per week.
