Job Description:
We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our Residential Support Service in Swansea. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of a fantastic team working in an exceptional Residential service.
Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker is responsible for helping to lead the staff team, advocating and providing person-centred care, and supporting our staff team to perform their duties effectively, ensuring the best possible care for the people we support.
The role involves:
- Providing excellent care for vulnerable people with mental health issues, Autism, and Learning Disabilities.
- Maintaining good standards of written and spoken English and numeracy.
- Understanding issues related to equal opportunities and their impact on staff and service users.
- Working independently, including taking sole responsibility for a service or area during a shift.
- Effective communication at all levels.
Senior Support Workers are required to work 37.5 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Ideally, a Senior Support Worker should be QCF Level 3 qualified or working towards it. Proven experience in care is essential.
Experience:
At least 1 year of care experience required.
