We are looking for Support Workers to join our Residential service, Llanelli. As a Support Worker working within this exceptional service, you will play a vital role in the lives of the people we support and their families. Nothing compares to the feeling that comes from knowing you have made a difference in someone else\’s life – especially when that someone is a vulnerable adult. Here at M&D Care, we place people at the heart of everything we do. If you want to support people, then we have a job for you. No qualifications or previous work experience are required; what’s really important are your values and attitude towards working with people who need care and support.
Responsibilities
  • Help deliver emotional and practical care and support for vulnerable adults, transforming their lives daily.
  • Provide quality care within a residential setting, ensuring the highest standards through person-centred care plans.
  • Work on a rota basis, which may include early starts, late finishes, day and night shifts, and weekends.
  • Support with tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, shopping, etc.
  • Facilitate activities that promote dignity, independence, and well-being.
  • Commit to providing excellent care for individuals with mental health and learning disabilities.
  • Work independently, sometimes taking sole responsibility for a person\’s safety and health.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements as outlined by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
  • Applicants must be over 18.

Additional Information about the role of Support Worker
  • We offer various contracted hours (22.5 to 45 hours). Shift patterns vary, including weekends and night shifts on a rota basis.
  • If not already qualified, you can undertake a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care after successfully completing the probationary period. Full support will be provided.
  • Full training will be given; previous care experience is not essential.
