We are looking for a Support Worker to work within a our Domiciliary Care Service in the SA15 area. Due to the requirements of this role, we require Male applicants at this location. You do not need experience, just enthusiasm and compassion to support vulnerable adults in the community. Nothing compares to the feeling that comes from knowing that you have made a difference to someone else’s life – especially when that someone is a vulnerable adult.Responsibilities:As a community based care worker you will provide essential care and support for people who live in their own homes. This support is built around people’s needs and routines to help them remain in their own home in a safe and supported way. Helping people stay connected with their communities is one of the most important aspects of this service.

  • You will become part of our incredible team, helping to deliver emotional and practical care and support for vulnerable adults and transforming their lives on a daily basis.
  • You will be involved in providing quality care to vulnerable adults in the community, you will ensure the highest quality of care is provided to the people supported through their person-centered care plans.
  • You will need to be able drive.
  • You will be working on a rota basis, which may include early starts, late finishes and day and night shifts and weekend working.
  • You will offer focused support with a range of tasks, including personal care, preparing meals, administering medicine, shopping, and light household duties.
  • You will be involved in supporting the daily activities of the people we support both in their own home and within the community.
  • You will be involved in facilitating activities which are person-centred; which promote their dignity, independence and well-being.

  • You will need to be reliable, dependable and committed to making a difference.
  • You will need to have the desire and passion to support individuals to achieve their aspirations and personal goals.
  • You will need to demonstrate a commitment to enabling people to live fulfilled and independent lives both within their homes and the wider community.
  • You will need to be committed to providing an excellent level of care for vulnerable people with mental health and learning disabilities.
  • You will need to be an energetic, happy person who enjoys forming relationships with all sorts of people.
  • You need to be over 18 to apply for this role.

Qualifications

  • If not already qualified you should be working towards your QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care qualification. Proven experience in care advantageous but not essential as full induction and training will be provided.
  • We will support you every step of the way, providing training as well as the opportunity to progress your career.
