McWin is a private investment advisory firm dedicated to the foodservice and food technology sectors. The firm and its affiliates currently advise more than ~€1bn AUM across two strategies, foodservice and food technology. Our funds’ notable investments within foodservice include Gail’s, Flat Iron, Sticks’n’Sushi, Big Mamma Group, L’Osteria, Burger King and Popeyes. Within food technology our funds have investments in The Every Company, CookUnity, Oishii and Ecorobotix. The McWin team is comprised of veterans of the foodservice sector (including the two Founding Partners of the Firm) and experienced private equity professionals.
The Data Analyst role is critical in helping McWin structure and operationalise Supply Chain data across our portfolio companies to directly inform value creation strategies, operational efficiency programs, and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Platform Development & Management: Configure and maintain McWin’s internal data platform to consolidate information from portfolio companies, supply chain partners, commodity indices, and logistics providers. Define taxonomy and category structures to enable consistency and comparability across portfolio data. Design and manage the data submission process, including templates, timelines, and coordination with relevant stakeholders across the portfolio. Extract, clean, and structure raw or incomplete datasets, often directly from portfolio companies or external partners. Standardise data formats and validate inputs to ensure accuracy and integrity across brands. Integrate newly acquired portfolio companies into the platform and adapt system configurations as needed.
- Financial Modeling & Strategic Analysis: Build detailed financial and operational models focused on procurement, logistics, and Cost of Sales. Conduct trend analysis (e.g. inflation tracking, supplier performance, spend evolution) to identify opportunities for cost optimization. Support strategic planning processes, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), with analytical inputs on supply chain drivers. Contribute to supplier RFP evaluations through detailed data-driven assessments.
- Reporting & Decision Support: Develop dashboards and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to communicate insights clearly and effectively. Prepare regular reporting materials, including monthly supply chain updates and quarterly partner reports. Ad hoc project analysis (e.g., large-scale logistics tenders). Provide analytical support to the Head of Supply Chain and wider investment team on strategic initiatives.
- Proven experience in data analysis, ideally within investment, consulting, or business analytics environments.
- Strong capability in financial modeling and structuring large or complex datasets.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, extract data from fragmented sources, and create structure in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills in English.
- Familiarity with supply chain, procurement, or logistics data is advantageous but not essential.
- Exposure to private equity or experience working with portfolio companies is a plus.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools for data manipulation is beneficial.
