McTaggart Construction is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team. You’ll help keep our new projects in Central Scotland and the Borders on firm ground — supporting cost control, reviewing contracts, checking progress and offering clear, honest reporting. The role involves working closely with colleagues on site and in the office, building trusted relationships and making sure information is accurate and up to date.

Main responsibilities:- Monitor project costs and support financial reports.
- Assist with valuations, budgets and forecasting.
- Work with Operations and Procurement to keep projects moving.
- Support the management of subcontractor packages.
- Join meetings when required to share updates and offer support.
- Help ensure contract and compliance requirements are met.
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on medium‑sized jobs or several smaller projects.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Clear communication skills and a steady, organised approach.
- Strong organisational skills and a practical approach to problem‑solving.
- A full UK driving licence.
