McTaggart Construction is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support our projects across Central Scotland, and the Borders. If you want to work in a team that values honesty, consistency and community, this could be a great fit for you. You’ll play an important part in keeping our projects on track — supporting cost control, contracts, reporting and building good working relationships with teams on site and in the office. It’s a role where your work makes a real difference.

What you’ll do:

  • Support cost control and financial reporting across several housing projects.
  • Work closely with our Operations and Procurement teams to keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Help manage valuations, budgets and forecasting.
  • Build strong working relationships with subcontractors, partners and colleagues.
  • Contribute to meetings and ensure contract requirements are met.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in commercially managing medium-sized projects or multiple smaller projects in their current role.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and other standard systems.
  • Someone who communicates clearly and works well with others.
  • Strong organisational skills and a practical approach to problem‑solving.
  • A full UK driving licence.
