Are you ready to take the next step in your construction career? McTaggart Group is looking for an Assistant Site Manager to help deliver high-quality social housing and construction projects across Dumfries and Galloway.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll support the Site Manager to keep projects on track, maintain safety standards, and ensure top‑quality workmanship. You’ll be part of a team that values collaboration and takes pride in building homes and communities. We have a current opportunity at our Leswalt project in Stranraer.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with day‑to‑day site management and planning
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
- Monitor progress, quality, and safety on site
- Support with project documentation and reporting
- Act as deputy for the Site Manager when required
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in construction site management (social housing or similar preferred)
- Trade background (desirable)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of health & safety standards
- A valid CSCS card and UK driving licence
- SMSTS and First Aid (or willingness to train)
