McShanes Solicitors are seeking an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our busy and friendly team in Newry. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with previous legal secretarial experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced professional environment.

The Role

You will provide essential administrative and secretarial support to solicitors across a range of legal matters, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing correspondence and legal documents
  • Managing emails, filing systems and client records
  • Maintaining appointment diaries and schedules
  • Liaising professionally with clients, agents and third parties
  • Handling client enquiries and providing updates
  • Ensuring files are organised and accessible at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary
  • Experience within conveyancing, family law or litigation preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in typing and digital dictation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
