Role Description

This is a part‑time, on‑site role based in Edinburgh. The Stair Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining stairwells, landings, and communal areas in residential or commercial buildings, including:

  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces such as handrails, skirting boards, and doors.
  • Emptying bins, removing litter, spot‑cleaning walls and glass, and ensuring that floors are free from hazards such as spills and debris.

The Stair Cleaner will follow agreed cleaning schedules, use provided equipment and materials safely, and report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to a supervisor. The position may also involve occasional deep‑cleaning tasks and working independently to ensure that standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance, ideally in stairwells or communal areas.
