The Role

As someone who has experience in helping clients achieve success in managing software implementations from start to finish, you will become a subject‑matter expert in our software solutions, partnering with clients and leading them to successful implementations. A team player and experienced in software projects, you believe outstanding collaboration and communication are essential qualities for any successful project. You will partner with internal teams and clients alike to oversee the setup and integration of our software into their business. At any given time you could be implementing multiple projects that vary in size and complexity across different industries and locations. You’ll be comfortable asking questions, seeking out information, and communicating clearly and openly with everyone involved. You’ll keep goals in sight, set priorities, and dive into the details to anticipate and address potential issues before they arise. The role also involves delivering client training and analysing data to support informed decision‑making. Most of all, you’ll relish every opportunity to inspire, delight, and exceed our clients’ expectations—so much so that they share their experiences with others!

  • You’re data‑driven – you tap into analytics of each task to keep track of delivery times, determine how long something will take, and eliminate bottlenecks
  • A willingness to travel to customer sites to carry out training and configuration; roughly 1–2 nights away per month
  • An understanding of SQL language (preferred)

How to prepare for a job interview at MCS Rental Software

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
