About the Company
Our client is a leading RegTech and tax technology business that builds automation platforms used by banks and financial institutions to manage complex regulatory and tax reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Their technology helps organisations stay compliant with fast-changing legislation by translating regulation into scalable, automated workflows.
The Role
This is not a traditional UI or feature-led Product Manager role. It is a regulatory-focused Product Manager position, sitting at the intersection of regulation, clients and technology. You will act as a regulatory subject-matter expert within the product team, responsible for horizon scanning, interpreting new and changing regulations, engaging with regulators and industry bodies, and translating complex legislative requirements into clear product priorities and system capabilities for engineering teams. You will work very closely with a senior Regulatory Product Manager who currently owns this space and help scale regulatory coverage across multiple jurisdictions and regimes as the automation platform continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret new and evolving regulatory and tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct in-depth regulatory research using primary sources such as regulator publications, legislative texts and official guidance, supported by secondary sources such as Big Four and industry papers.
- Engage with regulators and external bodies where clarification is required.
- Translate regulatory change into clear product requirements and roadmap priorities for the automation platform.
- Support client queries by analysing how specific regulations apply to their reporting and compliance obligations.
- Work with product, engineering and commercial stakeholders to prioritise delivery based on regulatory deadlines, risk and client impact.
- Contribute to the long‑term strategy as more regulatory and tax regimes (including Pillar 2) are onboarded.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in regulatory reporting, regulatory intelligence, regulatory change or RegTech product roles.
- Strong background in regulatory research and horizon scanning.
- Ability to interpret legislation and communicate complex requirements clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- Product Manager, Product Owner, Regulatory Product Specialist or similar background.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to tax regulation, particularly Pillar 2.
- Experience working with automation or compliance platforms.
- Multi‑jurisdiction regulatory experience.
Working Model
Hybrid working. UK‑based candidates: 1 day per month in the London office. NI‑based candidates: potentially monthly or bi‑monthly options, travel to London 1 day.
Package & Benefits
- Salary up to £70,000
- 25 days annual leave + 8 public holidays
- 10 additional half‑days off per year
- Buy and sell holiday scheme
- Gym and wellbeing membership up to £125 per month
- £100 annual wellbeing / personal development allowance
- Enhanced paid time off policies
- Birthday cake (most important!)
This is an opportunity to step into a high‑impact role at the centre of regulatory change and product strategy, helping shape how complex global regulation is turned into scalable, automated technology.
