MCS is exclusively partnering a rapidly growing Electronic Device Manufacturer that is currently expanding its operations. Following the recent acquisition of an additional production unit, they are seeking a hands-on, technically-minded individual to join their close-knit workshop team. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit behind a screen all day. This is a “maker” – someone who enjoys PCB assembly, soldering, and seeing a high-tech product come to life from scratch.

Qualifications

  • Proven interest in electronics (hobbyist or educational background).
  • Follow regulated quality procedures (ISO 13485).
  • Will be trained on Pick & Place machines, 3D printers, and SMT equipment.
  • Full, permanent right to work in the UK is required.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car daily.

Your Responsibilities

  • Production & Assembly: PCB population, soldering, and mechanical assembly of life-saving medical devices.
  • Testing & Maintenance: Carrying out fault-finding, repair, and general workshop upkeep.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhering to strict SOPs and internal work instructions to ensure 100% compliance within an ISO accredited environment.
  • Growth Support: Assisting the engineering team with ad-hoc prototype builds and validation activities.

Benefits

  • Salary: £27,000 | £12.98/h (pro-ratio)
  • Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:45am – 6pm, 1 hour lunch, 37h (paid @ 40h/week)
  • Time Off: 34 days holiday (pro-ratio)
  • Duration: Initially ~12 months, with conversion to full-time permanent possible at any stage.
  • Parking: On-site car parking (free)
