Senior HR Officer – Belfast – Newly created opportunity
MCS Group is delighted to partner with an award-winning organisation as they look to add a Senior HR Officer to their team, in this newly created role.
The role:
You will act as the first point of contact for all HR activity in Northern Ireland, providing end‑to‑end generalist support and partnering with managers on employee relations, performance, recruitment and development. This role offers broad exposure, autonomy and the chance to shape HR delivery locally while being fully supported by an experienced HR team.
The main responsibilities:
- Act as the on‑site HR contact for NI employees and managers.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance, development and exits.
- Advise on ER issues including absence, disciplinary and grievance.
- Coach managers on HR processes.
- Support payroll, benefits and fair employment reporting.
- Maintain accurate HR data and drive process improvements.
- Coordinate learning and development activity.
- Build strong relationships and elevate complex matters when needed.
The ideal candidate:
- CIPD Level 3+ or relevant qualification.
- Similar HR Generalist experience, ideally in operational or fast‑paced settings.
- Strong knowledge of NI employment law and HR policies.
- Confident with ER issues and advising managers.
