Project Officer

MCS Group are proud to be partnering with a leading public sector organisation in their search for a Project Officer - Digital. This role would suit a project professional with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys working with a range of stakeholders and supporting projects through to successful delivery.

The Role:

• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of a key digital project.
• Assist with project documentation, plans, actions, risks, issues and change management.
• Work closely with internal teams, external suppliers and project stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
• Assist with testing, implementation, training and other project activities as required.
• Support project meetings and governance processes, ensuring actions and deliverables are monitored.
• Assist with monitoring project budgets, timescales and deliverables.
• Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

The Person

The successful candidate will bring relevant project experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a range of stakeholders.

Essential:

• Relevant qualification at Level 6 (degree or equivalent), or,
• Experience supporting, coordinating or contributing to projects, ideally within a digital, IT or technology environment.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels.
• Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
