Work closely with development teams to address and resolve cybersecurity risks. Ensure all products released to the market adhere to the latest cybersecurity standards and best practices. What You Need to Succeed: Evidence knowledge of formal cybersecurity controls and best practices, e.g., OWASP Top 10, NIST 800-53. Development experience with authentication, authorization, SDKs, APIs, and basic networking. Understand cybersecurity vulnerabilities: Authentication vs. authorization Vulnerability vs. weakness SQL injection, buffer overflow, and cryptographic issues Desirable Criteria: Familiarity with software release pipelines: VCS, branching/tagging, CI/CD. Cybersecurity certifications: Security+, CCSP, CISSP, CEH. Knowledge of CVEs, CWEs, and threat modeling. Degree in cybersecurity, computer science, software engineering, or related STEM field. Understanding of asymmetric vs. symmetric cryptography.
