MCS Group is pleased to be partnering with a reputable and expanding accountancy firm to recruit a part-time Payroll Assistant/Admin Support to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established practice known for its commitment to client service and professional growth. The company was established over 25 years ago and provides their clients with a range of Accountancy services such as Audit, Advisory, Forensic Accounting, Payroll, Corporate restructuring and more.

Responsibilities

  • Processing full end to end payroll for a portfolio of clients
  • Maintain and update payroll tracking spreadsheets
  • Liaise with clients to gather payroll information
  • Process new starters and leavers, including entering employee details into payroll software (Sage)
  • Manage statutory payments such as sick pay, maternity pay, and holiday pay
  • Handle client queries related to payroll, including liaising with HMRC when necessary
  • Bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Adhoc admin work

The Person

  • 1-2 years experience in practice or payroll bureau is preferred
  • Open to industry experience
  • Knowledge of payroll software
  • Competent in Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Will be open to Full-Time for the right person
