MCS Group are working with a well-known public sector organisation in Ballymena to recruit a part-time interim HR Advisor to cover maternity leave until May 2027. The role is 15 hours a week over Thursdays and Fridays, with some flexibility required initially for training purposes. You will be a key member of the team, focusing on recruitment and selection, ER cases and supporting the HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of HR cases including sickness, discipline, grievance, dignity & respect at work, performance/capability, dismissals, appeals and Employment Tribunals.
- Providing advice and guidance to senior managers and line managers on HR matters, employment legislation, best practice and terms and conditions.
- Supporting managers through coaching and development to improve people management practices.
- Supporting recruitment and selection processes in line with legislation and procedures.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies and procedures.
- Supporting absence management, employee relations matters and HR projects.
- Developing effective relationships with Trade Unions and other stakeholders.
Criteria:
- Degree in any discipline and experience of providing advice and guidance to HR queries to include employee relations and experience with recruitment and selection OR 4 years experience of the above.
- Associate or chartered membership of CIPD.
- Full, valid driving licence and access to transport, or if a disability prohibits driving, access to a vehicle that allows you to fulfil the duties of the role.
The role is temporary until May 2027 to cover job share maternity cover. Hours are 14.8 per week over Thursday and Fridays. Pay rate: £20.29 per hour. Location: Ballymena. Hybrid.
