MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established Practice based in Belfast, looking to recruit for a Tax Specialist on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Company: A growing Belfast-based Practice is seeking a Tax Specialist to support continued expansion. The role involves overseeing key tax deadlines, reviewing compliance, and coordinating tax advice across areas such as M&A, private equity, and IHT. The team values development, a strong work/life balance, and operates a great culture with offices closing at 1pm every Friday.

Job Duties of the Tax Specialist Include:
- Compliance/Advisory (60/40)
- Personal tax
- R&D tax
- Involved in a broad range of work, including delivering high-quality corporate tax advisory services to businesses and providing tax advice to individuals. This includes M&A transactional support, Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning, and corporate tax matters.
- A self-starter who has experience of managing and mentoring junior team members
- Reviewing personal and corporation tax compliance (including groups)
What You Need to be the Successful Tax Specialist?
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or part-qualified.
- Significant experience in personal and corporate tax.
- Strong technical knowledge of personal and corporate tax compliance.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality client service.
