A growing technology company is looking for a Software Engineer to join a small, experienced backend engineering team building an enterprise-grade data orchestration platform. The team is deliberately top-heavy with senior talent, this hire is about bringing in someone hungry to learn, grow, and eventually own meaningful parts of the product. You will work on the core Java backend and contribute to a new platform that sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, big data, and AI. No red tape, no rigid processes, just talented engineers, interesting problems, and real responsibility as soon as you are ready for it.
What you will work on:
- Backend services in Java, working on the main data migrator product and contributing to a new orchestration platform.
- Cloud infrastructure across AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, and Azure.
- Big data stores including Hadoop and Apache Ozone.
- Integration with Snowflake, Databricks, and AI tooling including Claude, Gemini, and Codex.
- Building AI-powered applications and workflows on top of the platform.
What we are looking for:
- Around 2 years of software engineering experience, but we will consider strong candidates with circa 1 year of experience who have side projects and a genuine appetite to keep learning.
- Familiarity with Java or Go.
- Willingness to get stuck into cloud infrastructure, big data, and AI technologies.
- Strong communication skills and a real thirst for knowledge.
- Open-source contributions are a bonus, not a requirement.
