We are working with a leading organisation within Northern Ireland's energy sector to recruit a Senior Lead Settlement Analyst to join a high-performing operational team. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and process-driven professional to play a key role in supporting critical market and settlement operations within a highly regulated environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee complex monthly operational processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery across settlement activities. You will act as a subject matter expert within the team, supporting system and process improvements, coordinating testing activities following system changes, and working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders. This role offers a strong mix of operational ownership, stakeholder engagement, systems/process improvement and analytical reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor monthly operational and settlement processes
- Investigate, resolve and escalate complex operational issues
- Support continuous improvement of existing systems, procedures and workflows
- Coordinate UAT and system testing activities following system changes
- Work closely with IT and operational teams on change management initiatives
- Produce internal and external operational reports and market data analysis
- Liaise with external stakeholders including suppliers, regulators and market participants
- Maintain high levels of accuracy, governance and compliance across all activities
Criteria
- Degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering or related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within operational, analytical or process-driven environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Experience supporting system/process improvements or testing activities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable
- Experience within utilities, energy or regulated industries
- Exposure to settlement, reconciliation or operational reporting processes
- Understanding of complex operational or market environments
