MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Senior BIM Technician for our client, a leading mechanical engineering and contracting business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM professional to join a growing technical team, supporting the development and coordination of detailed mechanical and MEP designs throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for mechanical and MEP systems.
- Produce accurate technical drawings, layouts and fabrication drawings.
- Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
- Identify and resolve clashes and design issues through BIM coordination.
- Review drawings, specifications and design information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update BIM models and project documentation.
- Support the implementation and improvement of BIM standards, processes and workflows.
- Work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated and practical.
- Provide technical BIM support and contribute to continuous improvement across projects.
Criteria
- Proven experience as a BIM Technician, Senior BIM Technician, BIM Coordinator or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Revit and relevant BIM software.
- Experience producing detailed mechanical/MEP drawings and 3D models.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services and BIM coordination.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary models and resolving clashes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and design information.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of technical accuracy.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Experience working to BIM standards and ISO 19650 principles would be advantageous.
