The Role: Reporting to the Director of Operations and relevant governance committees, the SEMO General Manager will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic leadership across the business, ensuring delivery of regulatory, operational and commercial objectives;
- Overseeing the effective delivery of all core market functions including operations, settlements, stakeholder engagement and compliance activities;
- Leading governance, risk management and regulatory compliance activities across the organisation;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators, policymakers, market participants and industry stakeholders;
- Leading financial planning, resource management and capability development across the business;
- Driving innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives;
- Other duties as outlined in the full job description.
The Person: The successful SEMO General Manager will meet the following criteria:
- Significant leadership experience within the utilities sector or a regulated industry;
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills;
