MCS Group is looking for an experienced Integration Engineer (Contract) to support the delivery of enterprise integrations between cloud platforms, business applications and customer environments. This is a hands-on development role, ideal for someone who enjoys building APIs, integrating third-party systems and delivering scalable, production-ready solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced technology team delivering impactful integration projects, with some potential for contract extension.
The Role
- Design, develop and maintain integrations between enterprise platforms
- Build REST APIs, connectors and automation workflows
- Develop reusable integration frameworks and best practices
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions
- Support testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation of integration services
The Person
- Strong commercial hands-on development experience
- Demonstrable prior experience in integration engineering, solutions engineering, or API development roles
- Proven experience building and maintaining integrations
- Experience using Postman (or similar tools) for API design, testing, and validation
- Hands-on experience with Python and either Kotlin or Java
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON and modern integration patterns
- Experience with authentication technologies such as OAuth2, JWT, SAML or OIDC
- Ability to integrate with third-party APIs and cloud-based platforms
Duration: 3 - 6 months initially
Rate: Competitive
Location: Client is Belfast based but can accommodate working from home/remote working within the UK.
