MCS Group is partnering with a charitable organisation to recruit a Corporate Services Director who will play a key role in strengthening governance, sustainability, and organisational effectiveness.
About the Role
The Corporate Services Director will provide strategic leadership across key enabling functions including Finance, Income Generation, IT, Administration, and Facilities. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will ensure strong governance, financial oversight, and operational effectiveness, helping the organisation deliver its strategic priorities and maximise its impact across Northern Ireland.
The role:
- Senior Leadership
- Provide values-led leadership and contribute to strategic planning, business continuity, and organisational development.
- Support governance through Board and Trustee engagement, lead signature projects, and represent the organisation at sector forums.
- Participate in Senior Management Team on-call duties on a rota basis.
- Finance
- Oversee financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, and long-term sustainability.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and Trustees, ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and effective cash flow and investment management.
- Lead and develop the Finance Team to deliver high-quality financial management.
- Income Generation
- Provide strategic oversight of income generation and social enterprise activities, ensuring sustainability, compliance, and ethical practice.
- Support departmental income plans and lead the Income Generation Team to maximise impact.
- Information Technology
- Ensure IT systems and infrastructure meet organisational needs and support future growth.
- Lead digital transformation, oversee data protection and information security, and promote data-driven decision making.
- Administration & Facilities Management
- Deliver efficient administrative support and oversee facilities, health and safety, and estates compliance.
- Lead environmental sustainability initiatives and manage procurement and tender processes.
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- Qualified accountant with substantial financial leadership experience, ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector.
- Senior leadership experience in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
- Proven track record in income generation, diversification, and strategic growth.
- Experience influencing and engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of legal due diligence, risk management, and contract administration.
- Strong strategic planning and organisational leadership skills.
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of charity governance, regulation, and emerging best practice.
Additional Requirements
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle (or alternative transport) for business use.
