MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Contracts Surveyor - Fit Out for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK and Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to manage the surveying and commercial aspects of major fit-out projects, supporting cost control, profitability and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial and surveying activities across allocated fit-out projects.
Oversee subcontract procurement, work packages, valuations and payments.
Prepare cost appraisals, commercial reports and project valuations.
Manage variations, dayworks and project cost control.
Review contract documentation and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
Work closely with Estimating, Purchasing, Contracts Managers and site teams.
Build strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Support and mentor junior members of the surveying team.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and quality, environmental and health and safety standards.
Requirements 5+ years' experience within Quantity Surveying, Contracts Surveying or Commercial Management.
Experience managing subcontract packages and commercial activities on construction or fit-out projects.
Previous experience leading or mentoring surveyors or commercial team members.
Strong knowledge of procurement, cost control, valuations, variations and contract administration.
Experience within a construction or fit-out contractor is highly desirable.
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Surveying or a related discipline.
Experience with NEC contracts is advantageous.
CSR/CSCS card and full UK driving licence required.
Flexibility to travel and work away from home when required.
