MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Senior Estimator for our client, a leading construction contractor delivering residential, commercial and specialist construction projects across Northern Ireland and the East Coast of Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work, playing a key role in securing major projects while working within a supportive and collaborative pre‑construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submission of competitive tenders for a range of construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to produce accurate cost estimates
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal teams throughout the tender process
- Support handover of successful bids to the delivery and commercial teams
About You
- Experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within the construction industry
- Proven track record of pricing residential and commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, procurement and contract documentation
- Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
