MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing manufacturing business as they seek to appoint a Part-Time HR Manager to lead the people function on-site. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and senior leadership, providing both strategic and hands-on HR support within a busy manufacturing environment.
The role:
- As the standalone HR lead, you will play a key role in supporting the business through its next phase of growth, ensuring HR best practice, strong employee engagement, and a positive workplace culture.
The main responsibilities:
- Leading the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, development and offboarding.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues.
- Supporting workforce planning and recruitment activity across operational and support functions.
- Reviewing and developing HR policies, procedures and people initiatives.
- Managing employee engagement activities and driving a positive workplace culture.
- Supporting management capability through coaching and guidance on people management best practice.
- Overseeing HR compliance, employment legislation and record keeping.
- Producing HR reports and insights to support business decision making.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to support organisational objectives and future growth plans.
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a standalone HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role in an NI organisation.
- Strong generalist HR experience across the full employee lifecycle.
- Proven employee relations experience and confidence managing complex HR issues.
- Experience supporting operational, industrial, engineering or manufacturing workforces would be highly advantageous.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
