Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a progressive and people-focused organisation? We're recruiting for an HR Officer to join our client's team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and developing employees across multiple business sites while contributing to the continued success and growth of the wider organisation.

The Role

As HR Officer, you'll support the delivery of HR initiatives and provide guidance across all areas of the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you'll work closely with managers across the business to support employee wellbeing, engagement, recruitment, retention, performance management, and employee relations matters. You'll play a key role in ensuring HR practices are compliant with employment legislation while helping to foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HR support and guidance to managers across multiple business sites
  • Support recruitment and retention activities including advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees
  • Advise managers on employee relations matters including attendance management, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and performance management
  • Assist with employee wellbeing initiatives and engagement activities across the business
  • Support employee training and development activities and help identify development needs
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently and in line with current legislation
  • Maintain accurate HR records and employee documentation using HR and time management systems
  • Build positive working relationships with employees, managers, and Trade Union representatives
  • Provide guidance on both Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Support the wider HR function with ongoing projects and operational HR activities

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience within an HR Generalist or HR Officer role
  • Experience working within a fast-paced industry and multisite business
  • CIPD and relevant third level qualification
  • Strong knowledge of both NI employment legislation
  • Experience working with Trade Unions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • IT literate with experience using HR and time management systems
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
