MCS Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturer seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead production operations and drive operational excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective delivery of production targets while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Lead and develop shift-based production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives.
  • Champion Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance across the manufacturing operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximise efficiency, reduce waste and improve performance.
  • Coach, motivate and develop your team, creating a high-performing culture focused on operational excellence.
  • Monitor KPIs, budgets and production performance, using data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure robust manufacturing processes and management systems are maintained.

The successful candidate

  • 2 years' experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Proven people management experience with a practical, hands-on leadership style.
  • Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience working with Quality, Safety and Environmental (QSE) management systems.
  • Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and operational performance.
