An established Northern Ireland business is looking to appoint an IT Support Analyst as part of continued investment in its technology and digital transformation.

This is a broad, hands-on position combining first and second line support, user administration, supplier coordination and involvement in IT projects. It would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of technical issues while building strong relationships with users across a business.

The roleYou will provide day-to-day IT support across the organisation, acting as a key point of contact for users and ensuring technical issues are managed through to resolution.

Alongside BAU support, you will work with external IT providers and contribute to system upgrades, technology rollouts and wider improvement projects.

This isn't purely a ticket-based support role. There will be opportunities to understand how different areas of the business use technology, identify improvements and contribute to changes that improve reliability and the overall user experience.

Key responsibilities

Provide first and second line support across hardware, software, business applications and connectivity.

Manage technical issues through to resolution, prioritising requests and keeping users updated.

Support Microsoft 365, Windows devices and user administration.

Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including devices, accounts and access permissions.

Troubleshoot hardware, software and general connectivity issues.

Work closely with external IT providers to resolve technical issues and coordinate support.

Maintain IT asset records, software licence information and technical documentation.

Support system upgrades, implementations and wider IT projects.

Gather requirements from users and assist with testing and implementation of system changes.

Identify opportunities to improve IT processes, system reliability and user experience.

Support internal IT policies and security procedures.

What we're looking forYou should have previous experience providing first and second line IT support within a business environment and be comfortable dealing directly with users across different departments.

You will ideally bring:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.

Experience with user and account administration.

Strong hardware, software and connectivity troubleshooting skills.

The ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.

Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.

A professional and service-focused approach to IT support.

The ability to take ownership of issues rather than simply escalating them.

Experience contributing to IT projects, upgrades or system implementations.

The confidence to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external providers.

Desirable experienceExperience in any of the following would be beneficial:

ERP or other core business applications.

Working with or coordinating external IT suppliers.

Device management and deployment.

IT security tooling and processes.

Supporting users within a retail, distribution or operational environment.
