MCS Group is delighted to partner with a well established and growing firm in the North West seeking an experienced Senior HR Officer to join its people team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, operational environment while also contributing to wider people initiatives and business growth. You will support the full employee lifecycle across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, HR systems, and policy development, while helping to drive a positive and people-focused culture.

The main responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers across day-to-day HR operations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, induction and workforce planning.
  • Advise on employee relations matters including absence, disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Maintain HR systems and reporting accuracy.
  • Support policy development and HR best practice initiatives.
  • Assist with performance management and employee development activities.
  • Contribute to wider HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or above).
  • Strong HR generalist background within manufacturing, engineering or a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Confident managing employee relations cases.
  • Strong knowledge of NI employment legislation.
