We are partnering with a growing utilities organisation to recruit a Power Platform Developer who will play a key role in driving digital transformation across the business. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on building smart, scalable solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform, with the autonomy to shape how technology improves day-to-day operations.

The Role

You will take ownership of developing and enhancing internal applications, workflows, and reporting tools using the Microsoft Power Platform. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and deliver impactful digital solutions. While there is some involvement in information security and compliance processes, the primary focus of this role is on application development, automation, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Power Platform Development & Automation (Core Focus)
    • Design, build, and maintain applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven)
    • Develop automated workflows using Power Automate to improve business efficiency
    • Create and enhance Power BI dashboards to support data-driven decision-making
    • Integrate solutions across Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online and Teams
    • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective technical solutions
    • Drive user adoption through training, support, and continuous improvement of systems
  • Systems & Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes
    • Ensure solutions are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned to business needs
    • Support ongoing enhancements and optimisation of existing applications
  • IT & Systems Collaboration
    • Work alongside an external IT provider to support system performance and improvements
    • Assist with user access and system administration within Microsoft 365
    • Contribute to onboarding/offboarding processes from a systems perspective
  • Information Security (Desirable Exposure)
    • Support internal ISO 27001 processes and documentation where required
    • Assist with maintaining key records such as asset registers and risk logs
    • Contribute to audit preparation and compliance activities

About You

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Experience building end-to-end solutions in a business environment
  • Good understanding of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for automation and continuous improvement
  • Desirable Exposure to ISO 27001 or information security frameworks
  • Experience working with external IT providers or MSPs
  • Background in utilities, engineering, or infrastructure environments
  • Relevant certifications in Power Platform or Microsoft technologies
