MCS Group are looking for a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Belfast.
The Company: Our client is a well-established Belfast accountancy practice offering Audit, Accounts, Corporate Finance, Tax and Payroll services to a diverse client base across NI, ROI and the US. Having recently joined a global accountancy network, the firm is entering an exciting period of growth, with increased cross-border collaboration, new clients and opportunities. They are now looking to add a Senior Accountant / Assistant Manager to the team.

The Role: As the successful Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and review year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
- Handle associated tax computations and returns
- Get involved in M&A, client transactions, fundraising and ad-hoc projects
- Manage and mentor junior team members
- Help coordinate workloads and support the wider accounts team
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients
- Opportunity to step up into Assistant Manager responsibilities and take on more ownership
The Person: The successful Senior Accountant /Assistant Manager will meet the following criteria:
- ACA/ACCA qualified is preference
- Will consider strong Part-Qualified Accountants/Accounts Technicians/QBE
- Audit experience is a bonus
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar cloud accounting software
- Confident using Excel, Word and other relevant IT systems
- Organised, proactive and ready to take the next step in your career
