MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Physical Security Systems Risk Assessor for our client, a leading organisation operating across complex physical security environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physical security professional to assess security systems, identify vulnerabilities and recommend practical risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site physical security assessments of buildings and facilities.

Assess CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and wider security systems.

Evaluate systems' ability to deter, detect, delay and respond to threats.

Identify vulnerabilities across building design, security systems and operations.

Review security designs, installation records, maintenance documentation and procedures.

Assess security system integration and operational effectiveness.

Develop practical recommendations to reduce identified risks.

Recommend system upgrades, improved procedures and physical security enhancements.

Produce detailed risk assessment reports with findings and recommendations.

Present findings to technical and senior stakeholders.

Use crime statistics and open-source intelligence to support assessments.

Criteria Experience in physical security, security consultancy, risk assessment or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control and intrusion detection.

Experience conducting site/building security assessments.

Strong understanding of security system design and integration.

Experience identifying vulnerabilities and developing risk mitigation strategies.

Strong analytical, report writing and communication skills.

HVM, blast or ballistic protection experience would be advantageous.

PSP or CPP certification would be advantageous.

Risk management or ISO 31000 qualifications would be desirable.
