MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting an Operations Manager for our client. You will lead and transform operational functions across manufacturing, supply chain, and installation. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role focused on improving efficiency, productivity, cost, quality, and customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver an operations strategy to improve performance and reduce costs
  • Oversee end-to-end manufacturing, planning, procurement, and installation
  • Drive continuous improvement (Lean, OEE, waste reduction, workflow optimisation)
  • Own production scheduling and align capacity with demand
  • Improve quality, reducing defects, rework, and non-conformance

About You

  • Proven leadership experience in manufacturing or operations (ideally within construction products or engineered environments)
  • Strong track record in improving productivity, OTIF, and operational performance
  • Good understanding of production planning, supply chain, and quality systems
  • Strong communicator with a hands-on leadership style

Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar (preferred)
  • Full UK driving licence
