A leading Managed Services and Cyber Security provider is looking to add an experienced Network Security Engineer to its growing team. Working within a specialist Network Security function, you'll provide 3rd Line support across a varied customer base, resolving complex firewall and security incidents while working alongside experienced Security Architects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong security background who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction and working with enterprise technologies.

The Role

  • Providing 3rd Line technical support for network security incidents
  • Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting enterprise firewall solutions
  • Supporting Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, F5 and Juniper technologies
  • Performing firewall rule reviews, policy optimisation and security hardening
  • Troubleshooting VPN connectivity (IPSec & SSL VPN)
  • Investigating and resolving complex network and security issues
  • Working directly with customers to deliver technical solutions
  • Producing technical documentation and supporting change management
  • Collaborating with Security Architects on customer projects when required

About You

You'll have experience working within a Network Security or Infrastructure Security role, ideally within an MSP or customer-facing environment. You'll have experience with some of the following:

  • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Fortinet
  • Check Point
  • F5
  • Juniper SRX
  • TCP/IP, Routing, VLANs and NAT
  • VPN technologies (IPSec & SSL)
  • Firewall troubleshooting and policy management
  • Network Security best practices

Security certifications such as PCNSE, NSE4/7, CCSA/CCSE or Security+ would be beneficial but aren't essential.
