About the Role
As Planner / Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of raw materials and components to support manufacturing operations. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, you will help maintain production continuity while driving efficiency across the supply chain. This is a varied role combining:
- Demand planning
- Purchasing
- Inventory management
- Supplier coordination
- Data analysis
- Continuous improvement initiatives
The successful candidate:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in planning and/or buying within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage priorities within a fast-moving operational environment
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build effective working relationships internally and externally
