MCS Group is recruiting for an experienced Hardware/Electronics Engineer to join a leading engineering team developing advanced electronic products for the power and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and electromechanical issues.
- Support hardware design updates, including PCB redesigns for component obsolescence.
- Work closely with hardware, software and firmware engineers to deliver product improvements.
- Support manufacturing with test procedures, fixtures and yield improvements.
- Deliver small engineering projects and ensure compliance with design processes.
Essential Skills
- Degree or HND (with relevant experience) in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Proven hardware/electronics design experience.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of embedded systems.
- Able to work independently with excellent communication skills.
Desirable Skills
- Altium or similar schematic capture software.
- Multilayer PCB design and EMC knowledge.
- FPGA, RTOS/Linux or firmware experience.
- Python programming.
- Experience with structured fault-finding methods (8D, Fishbone).
