Immediate opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a busy manufacturing organisation in Belfast. Are you an experienced Buyer with a manufacturing or supply chain background and available to start immediately? This is a hands-on procurement role where you will play a key part in ensuring materials and services are purchased on time, at the right cost and to the required quality.

The role:

  • Managing day-to-day purchasing, placing and expediting orders
  • Managing supplier relationships, pricing and delivery performance
  • Negotiating prices and commercial terms
  • Managing material shortages and resolving supply issues
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier data within an ERP/MRP system
  • Working closely with Production, Materials Control and the wider Supply Chain team
  • Supporting cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives

The candidate:

  • 3+ years' purchasing/procurement experience
  • Ideally experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong MRP/ERP systems experience
  • Confident supplier management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive, accurate and commercially focused approach
  • Available to start on a temporary contract if successful.
