MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a global organisation currently investing heavily in AI, automation, and next-generation technology platforms as they build out their Belfast technology function. Due to continued growth, they are hiring for both an AI Engineer and Senior AI Engineer to join a highly visible team working on enterprise-scale AI initiatives across a global business. This is an opportunity to work on genuinely cutting-edge projects in a business where AI is becoming a key part of overall technology strategy.
The team are focused on building practical AI solutions that improve internal operations, automation, knowledge management, and user experience across the organisation. The environment would suit someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on engineering, problem solving, collaboration with stakeholders, and helping shape how AI is adopted at scale.
The Role
You will work as part of a growing AI function focused on designing, building, and improving AI-driven applications and platforms across the business. Projects currently range across:
- Generative AI and LLM initiatives
- AI-powered automation tools
- Machine learning solutions
- AI platform engineering
- Data-driven process improvement
- AI governance and optimisation
Depending on level, the Senior AI Engineer role will also involve mentoring, technical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and helping define best practice across AI delivery.
What You'll Need
- Strong experience in software engineering, AI engineering, ML, or data-focused development roles
- Commercial experience with Python and cloud technologies
- Exposure to modern AI/ML tooling and frameworks
- Experience building scalable applications or platforms
- Good communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
