MCS Group is proud to be supporting a growing Irish software company in hiring an Application Support Specialist to join its customer success and support team. This role would suit someone who enjoys problem solving, working with customers, and supporting business‑critical software across areas such as ERP, accounting, stock control, CRM, eCommerce, reporting, and supply chain operations. You’ll work closely with customers to troubleshoot technical and operational issues, investigate system queries, and help deliver the best possible user experience across a broad suite of business applications. The environment is collaborative, technology-focused, and well suited to someone who enjoys variety in their day‑to‑day work. Hybrid - County Louth - 3 days per week.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting customers with technical and operational system queries
  • Investigating and resolving software issues across multiple business functions
  • Working with databases, integrations, and reporting tools
  • Documenting issues and helping drive solutions
  • Collaborating with wider support and customer success teams

What they’re looking for:

  • Experience with ERP, accounting, or business management software
  • A degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Business, or similar
  • Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
  • A customer‑focused mindset with a proactive attitude

Nice to have:

  • SQL Server / MySQL knowledge
  • SQL scripting or database administration experience
  • Experience with APIs, integrations, FTP/SFTP, Excel, CSV files, or tools like Postman/SoapUI
  • Exposure to CRM, logistics, warehouse management, eCommerce, BI, or financial reporting systems
