This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of Northern Ireland's most recognised tourism organisations, playing a pivotal role in driving international visitor growth and developing strategic partnerships across global travel trade markets.
Working within a commercially focused and collaborative environment, you will lead leisure sales activity across domestic and international markets, managing key travel trade relationships while identifying new business opportunities to support ambitious visitor and revenue targets.
This role offers the chance to travel internationally, represent a globally recognised tourism product, and lead a passionate team committed to delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the leisure sales strategy to maximise visitor numbers, revenue and commercial performance.
- Lead, coach and develop the Leisure Sales Team, providing day-to-day management and ongoing support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, destination management companies, online travel agents and tourism partners.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across UK, Irish and international markets.
- Represent the organisation at international trade shows, sales missions, networking events, FAM trips and industry exhibitions.
- Work closely with Marketing, Digital, Operations and Group Sales teams to deliver successful campaigns and outstanding customer experiences.
- Manage commercial agreements, pricing structures and travel trade contracts.
- Monitor sales activity, forecasting and market performance, providing insight to drive commercial decisions.
- Support annual business planning, budgeting and reporting.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting a world-class visitor experience across domestic and international markets.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within leisure sales, travel trade, tourism sales or business development, delivering against commercial targets.
- Previous experience leading or managing a small sales team.
- Strong understanding of the tourism industry and travel trade landscape.
- Proven track record of developing long-term commercial partnerships and growing revenue.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded with experience analysing sales performance and identifying growth opportunities.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK and internationally.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within the tourism, hospitality, visitor attraction or destination marketing sectors.
- Knowledge of international inbound tourism markets.
- Experience managing pricing strategies and commercial contracts.
- Previous attendance at international trade shows and sales events.
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns and drive visitor growth.
