Overview
MCS Group are delighted to be working with a leading organisation within the food manufacturing sector to recruit for a Key Account Manager. With a strong customer base across food manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and foodservice, the business continues to expand its market presence through product innovation and strategic partnerships. The successful Key Account Manager will focus on driving new business opportunities while managing and developing key customer accounts, ensuring profitable growth and exceptional service delivery.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, targeted outreach, and face-to-face meetings.
- Build and maintain a focused prospect pipeline across food manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and foodservice sectors.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and commercial submissions.
- Attend industry exhibitions and networking events to generate leads and promote the brand.
- Maximise sales revenue, margins, and profitability across all accounts.
- Prepare annual sales budgets and provide weekly progress reports to senior management.
- Manage and grow existing key accounts through structured review meetings.
- Act as the main point of contact, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
Essential Criteria and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years\\\’ experience in a fast-paced commercial or sales environment
- Strong commercial awareness with understanding of profitability and margins
- Experience within the food manufacturing industry or related sector
- Highly organised with strong reporting and forecasting capability
- Target-driven mindset with strong customer focus
