IT Systems Administrator Northern Ireland | Remote| £45,000 - £50,000 I'm working with a small but growing company in the clean technology and sustainability sector that is looking to appoint its first technical hire in Northern Ireland.
Headquartered in Singapore, the business has around 30 people globally and new owners with strong connections to Belfast.
They're looking for someone with internal IT experience who is ready to take greater ownership of systems, contribute to projects and help shape how technology supports the business as it grows.
The Role Initially, your focus will be on taking ownership of the internal IT environment and supporting around 30 users globally.
You'll get to understand the existing environment, identify improvements and deliver practical solutions that make day-to-day work easier for colleagues.
Alongside your core responsibilities, you'll occasionally support the Senior Dev Ops Engineer, giving you exposure to work beyond internal IT.
Day to day, you can expect to: Support colleagues with internal IT issues and resolve technical problems Administer and maintain the company's IT environment Review existing systems and identify opportunities for improvement Take ownership of internal IT projects Work with colleagues to understand their technology needs Help develop IT processes that support a growing business Occasionally support the Senior Dev Ops Engineer with wider technical work What We're Looking For We'd like to speak with people from an IT Systems Administration, Systems Engineering or similar background who have strong experience supporting internal IT.
You should enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, be comfortable taking responsibility and have an interest in improving systems as well as maintaining them.
We're particularly interested in: Experience supporting users and administering internal IT systems A practical, logical approach to troubleshooting The initiative to identify improvements and follow them through Clear communication skills when supporting non-technical colleagues An interest in developing your skills and taking on broader responsibilities Individuals with experience in a start-up / scale-up environment Flexibility to start early and support global users Why Consider It?
As the first technical hire in Northern Ireland, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible contribution and influence the company's future IT direction.
There is potential to develop towards cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, AI or automation, depending on your interests and business needs.
For someone interested in leadership, the role could also grow towards IT management as the business expands.
The role would initially be remote, with scope to develop into a hybrid setting as the company grows.
This offers the chance to combine hands-on technical work with greater ownership and a longer-term opportunity to help build the IT function.
My client are keen to interview as soon as possible and for the role to start this side of Christmas.
