MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing international manufacturing organisation based in County Antrim, as they seek to appoint an experienced Interim Head of HR on a full-time fixed-term basis for a 12-15 month period. Having experienced exceptional growth in recent years, this innovative organisation continues to expand its international footprint. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the business through its next phase of operational and cultural growth.
The role involves reporting into senior leadership, taking ownership of the overall HR function within a fast-paced operational environment, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day HR operations across manufacturing, warehousing and head office teams. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, operating as a true business partner to senior stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring the HR function continues to support the business effectively during a significant period of growth and expansion.
This role will involve managing a broad HR remit, including:
- Employee relations
- Performance management
- Absence management
- Compliance
- Engagement initiatives
- Organisational change
- Leadership support
The Head of HR will also support wider people and culture initiatives, ensuring the organisation continues to foster a positive and inclusive working environment. The organisation places a strong emphasis on employee engagement, development, and operational excellence, and the successful candidate will play an important role in supporting managers across a range of people-related matters while ensuring HR best practice is maintained throughout the business.

The successful candidate must possess the following:
- 5+ years' experience operating at HR Manager / HR Business Partner level
- Proven experience within a fast-paced operational environment such as manufacturing, warehousing or logistics
- Strong employee relations and employment legislation knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to manage organisational change and support business growth
- Commercially aware with the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
- Experience leading both strategic and operational HR initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- CIPD qualification highly advantageous
