MCS Group is looking for an Information Security & Compliance Officer (12 month FTC) to join a growing technology organisation and help maintain and strengthen its security, risk and compliance framework. Working across technical and business teams, this Information Security and Compliance Officer will play a key role in supporting compliance programmes, managing risk activities, coordinating audits and ensuring security controls remain effective within a modern cloud-based environment.

The Role

  • Support and maintain the organisation's information security and compliance framework
  • Coordinate audit, assurance and certification activities
  • Manage risk assessments, supplier reviews and remediation actions
  • Develop and maintain policies, standards and governance documentation
  • Maintain risk registers, compliance records and reporting
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure security controls and processes remain effective
  • Support customer security reviews, due diligence activities and contractual compliance requirements
  • Deliver compliance guidance and awareness across the business
  • Identify opportunities to improve governance, compliance and operational processes

The Person

  • Experience within information security, governance, risk or compliance roles
  • Prior experience/involvement in ISO 27001 audits, maintenance or certification
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance best practice
  • Experience supporting audits, risk management and policy development
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and associated security controls
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with SOC 2 or similar frameworks is highly desirable
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC preferred

Salary: £60k - £65k (DOE)

Duration: 12 month fixed-term contract
