HR Officer Are you an HR professional, looking to take on a diverse, people-centred position? This opportunity will involve supporting employee relations, engagement initiatives, and day-to-day HR functions, while partnering with managers to foster a positive and productive workplace environment. The Role As HR Officer, you will work with both employees and managers across a wide variety of HR matters, with particular emphasis on employee relations, wellbeing, and engagement. You will deliver practical HR assistance, keep systems and records up to date, and play a key part in learning and development activities. This role suits someone organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently as well as within a wider HR team. Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for HR advice to managers and staff on employee relations matters, ensuring consistency and fairness. Guide managers through absence management, disciplinary issues, grievance procedures, and performance concerns. Help deliver staff engagement and wellbeing programmes, including events and internal messaging. Coordinate training and development activity, arranging workshops and monitoring participation/completion. Maintain HR systems, ensuring all employee data is accurate and processed promptly. Oversee HR administration such as contracts, amendments to terms and conditions, and employee lifecycle paperwork. Assist with onboarding and induction to create a strong experience for new starters. Prepare HR reports and key metrics to aid business decisions and monitor workforce trends. Ensure HR files and records remain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready. Contribute to the review and enhancement of HR policies, procedures, and supporting documentation. Build manager capability and confidence in effective people management practices. The Ideal Candidate CIPD qualified, or educated to third-level in a relevant discipline. Previous experience in an HR assistant or officer role. Good understanding of HR procedures, employment law, and best practice standards. Excellent organisational ability with strong attention to detail.
