HR Officer – Manufacturing – Derry

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a progressive and ambitious manufacturing organisation, who are seeking a motivated and experienced HR Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to senior management, this role will oversee and manage all aspects of HR within the business while providing support and guidance across the full employee lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer all aspects of HR within the organisation

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from drafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires

  • Deliver induction training and support ongoing learning & development initiatives

  • Maintain training/skills analysis and implement development plans

  • Manage payroll administration

  • Oversee absence management, employee relations, and performance management

  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance

  • Ensure fair employment monitoring and reporting obligations are met

  • Support health & safety requirements where needed

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2+ years\’ experience in an HR Officer, HR Generalist, or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and employment legislation

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • CIPD-qualified or working towards (advantageous)

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
